This 17-day itinerary offers an immersive journey through the rich cultural and natural landscapes of India, starting from the bustling capital city of New Delhi and venturing into the heart of Odisha. The journey continues with visits to the breathtaking Chilika Lake, the historic Sun Temple at Konark, and the pristine beaches of Puri. A unique ecological adventure awaits at Bhitarkanika National Park, home to the largest estuarine crocodiles in the Indian subcontinent. Throughout the tour, strict guidelines ensure respectful and ethical interactions with the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs), prohibiting night visits, photography, physical proximity, and any form of amusement or entertainment involving the tribes, thereby preserving their dignity and cultural integrity. The trip concludes with a comprehensive exploration of Old and New Delhi, offering a blend of historical grandeur and modern vibrancy.

> Please find the Guidelines for regulation of the visit of foreign tourists/ researchers to the areas inhabited and frequented by the PVTGs such as Bondas, Dongaria Kandhas and other such communities.

1) The guest cannot visit the areas at night.

2) No photography/videography of the tribal persons belonging to PVTGs will be allowed

3) Physical proximity of the visitors to the PVTGs should be strictly prohibited. They are also not allowed to enter the PVTGs’ houses.

4) No permission should be granted for any form of amusement/entertainment by the tribals for the benefit of visitors

Schedule Details

Day 01. Delhi

Fly from your country to New Delhi, arrive and transfer to Hotel for overnight stay.

Day 02. Delhi – Bhubaneswar ( by flight )

Transfer to Delhi airport to board flight for Bhubaneswar, upon arrival you will be received by our local representative, transfer to Hotel. After change and wash leave to enjoy halfday sight-seeing of the cluster magnificent temples constituting virtually a complete record of Kalinga Architecture almost from it’s nascency to it’s culmination.  The temples include Parasurameswar 6th Century AD, Mukteswar 10th Century AD, Vaital 10th Century AD, Rajarani 11th Century AD, and Lingaraj 11th Century AD.  The sculptural & architectural heritage coupled with it’s sanctity as Ekamra Kshetra, Bhubaneswar is dotted with the majestic & sublime grandeur of soaring temples.  Indeed it is the most delightful resort for a connoisseur of Fine Arts.  Overnight at Bhubaneswar.  

Day 03. Bhubaneswar - Olasingh - Gopalpur

Morning after visit Tribal Museum to see a glimpse of tribal life & culture as Odisha as 62 tribes almost 24% of the total population (closed on Monday) &  Khandagiri, Udayagiri Jain caves, the twin hills belonging to 2nd Century BC depicting the architectural & sculptural beauty with authentic historical record inscribed on the cave narrating the 13 reignal year of King Kharavela . Proceed to Gopalpur enroute visit Olasingh textile village ( one of the most famous Tasser weaving village ). On arrival at Gopalpur check in to the hotel. Overnight at Gopalpur.  

Day 04. Gopalpur-Taptapani-Rayagada

Morning drive to Rayagada enroute visit Taptapani, the hot sulpheric spring & saura tribal villages.  On arrival at Rayagada check-in to the Hotel.  Overnight at Rayagada.  

Day 05. Rayagada - Bisamkatak - Rayagada

Morning drive to Dukum ( near Bisamkatak ) to visit weekly market of Desia kondh ( weekly market commence on Tuesday only ) . Later visit to Dokra crafts  village at Jhigidi. Return back to Rayagada. Overnight at Rayagada.  

Day 06. Rayagada - Chatikona - Jeypore

After breakfast drive down to Chhatikona to watch the interesting colourful weekly market of Dongiriya Kandh tribes (weekly market commence on Wednesday only).  This tribes one of the most primitive tribes of Kandhs who live in the hinterland.  Later drive to Jeypore.  Overnight at Jeypore.

Day 07. Jeypore - Ankadelli - Jeypore

After breakfast drive to Ankadelli to visit to famous Bonda tribes.  Bondas are the primitive tribes and have their distinctive life styles with colourful costumes and varieties of musical instruments.  Their weekly market commences on Thursday only where one can see a colourful concentration of the Bonda women wearing colourful jewelleries and costumes on the lower part only.  Then drive back to Jeypore.  Overnight at Jeypore.

Day 08. Jeypore - Kunduli - Jeypore

After breakfast, drive to Kunduli to visit the weekly market of Paraja tribes ( weekly market commence on Friday only ) . It is the biggest market of the tribal area. Back to Jeypore & Overnight.

Day 09. Jeypore – Rayagada

Morning after breakfast visit to Jagannath temple ( Non Hindus are allowed ) & Tribal Museum at Koraput. Then drive to Rayagada enroute visit Bada Paraja & Mali tribal villages. On arrival check in to the hotel. Overnight at Rayagada.  

Day 10. Rayagada – Gopalpur

Morning drive to Rayagada enroute visit Saura tribal villages. On arrival at Gopalpur check in to the hotel. Then relax on the beach ( this beach is one of the most pristine beaches of Orissa ). Overnight at Gopalpur.

Day 11. Gopalpur - Chilika - Puri

Morning drive to Puri enroute visit Chilika Lake at Barkul, the largest brackish water of Asia spreading over 1100 Sq.Kms. famous for it’s migratory birds coming from distant places of Siberia, the temple Island of Kalijai and enjoy cruising. Proceed to Puri & check in to the hotel. Rest time relax on the beach. Overnight at hotel.  

Day 12. Puri - Konark - Bhubaneswar

Morning visit to the world famous Temple of Lord Jagannath.  (Non-Hindus are not allowed but one can get a clear picture of the structure from the vintage point on Raghunandan Library)Then drive to Konark to visit the Sun temple ( one of the world famous heritage site & famously known as Black Pagoda ). Enroute visit Ramchandi temple & Chandrabhaga beach.  Also visit to the Fishremens village. Drive to Bhubaneswar and check in to the hotel. Then visit to Sudershan craft village. Rest time is free for own activities. Overnight at hotel.  


Morning after breakfast drive to Rajnagar enroute visit Lalitgiri the Buddhist site . On arrival take the boat cruise to Dangamal-hub of the sanctuary (45 minutes scenic cruise from Khola-entry point).  Enjoying the Mangrove forest, crocodiles and innocent deer by boat cruise.  Arrival at dangamal and check-in at the forest cottage.  Evening with a cup of Tea/Coffee relax with the endangered deer.  Overnight at forest cottage.  


After breakfast morning cruise to Bhitarkanika, the nature’s treasure trove.  The Sea, Sand, Creeks, Wildlife & Scenic beauty of Bhitarkanika make it the most sought after ecological destination.  The home of largest estuarine crocodiles in the Indian sub-continent, the proud possessor of Sankhua, the rear white crocodile, an abode of diverse eco-system Bhitarkanika has been declared as a national park in 1998.  Trekking inside the mangrove forest cruising in the creek, amidst fantastic views of nature make the journey the most memorable one.  Lunch break at the forest cottage and then trekking down to the watch tower to view the large wild animals grazing in the wide range of open space.  Evening walk down to the cottage and enjoy bonfire.  Overnight in forest cottage.


After morning breakfast cruise back to Khola ( the exit point ) to have last look to natures paradise Drive to Bhubaneswar en-route visit Cuttack city which is famous for silver filigree work. Overnight at Bhubaneswar.

Day 16. Bhubaneswar - Delhi

After breakfast you will be transfer to board flight for New Delhi, arrive and transfer to Hotel.

Day 17. Delhi

Full day for the sightseeing of old and new Delhi, afterwards you will be transfer to New Delhi International airport to board flight back to your country.
